IJULR Peer Review Process

At IJULR, we aim to maintain consistent academic standards by following a double-blind peer review system. This means that both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another, ensuring an unbiased and fair evaluation of every manuscript.

Once a manuscript is received via the official submission channel, it is assigned a unique tracking ID (e.g., IJULR-2026-001) for internal use.

All identifying details such as author names, email addresses, and institutional affiliations are removed before the manuscript enters the review process to ensure complete anonymity.

The editorial team checks whether the submission falls within the journal’s interdisciplinary legal scope, follows formatting and referencing guidelines, passes a plagiarism check, and includes all required sections such as the title, abstract, keywords, and references.

The anonymized manuscript is sent to two subject matter experts who are selected based on their expertise in the manuscript’s subject area.

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and innovation
  • Relevance to law and allied disciplines
  • Clarity and structure
  • Depth of research and referencing

Each reviewer scores the manuscript on a scale of 1 to 5. The combined score out of 5 determines whether the manuscript proceeds to the next stage.

If the total score is 3.0 or more, the manuscript proceeds to final acceptance and publication.

If the score is below 3.0, the manuscript may be returned for revision or rejected.

This transparent and unbiased review process ensures that IJULR publishes only original, high-quality research and treats all authors fairly and equally.
